Mikuni Carburetor Models . I ha sthe starter or choke on the right side and the air filter inlet size is larger.that is a Mikuni VM and on the other side behind the enrichener block in real small stamping it will say some letters and numbers and some of those numbers will be 30 or 32 or 34 which is the size of the carb in millimeters. It`s just as well the original CV carbs are fairly straight forward. BS38 – early types were not linked and bolted perpendicular to the head, later models were linked and the boots were angled to the head; BS34 – linked and angled to the head..Some of them include; we have used a Genuine Mikuni Carb, which is made in Japan, these are proven carbs and provide smooth power and reliability. I can strip, clean and tune my own carbs fine but if I was relying on my powers of fine tuning for a living I`d be in trouble.. mikuni carburetor models i`m setting up a head from one of the newer models , mikuni carb and steel valves..
